Introduction to Us Crafty Chicks
Cartman's Mom ~I'm a SAHM to 2 rambunctious boys, T-Bone is 7 and Cartman is 2. I'm married to a wonderful man going through residency as an Anethesiologist. Needless to say, he's gone a lot, so when the kids go to bed, I start gettin' crafty! Quilting, Scrapbooking, Knitting, Crochet, Cardmaking... You name it, I've tried it. My mom is pretty crafty herself, so I guess that's where my creative bug came from.
I've been in Colorado off and on since 1998. Before that, I lived many places. From Sunny, CA to Podunk, IL and even a breif layover in Omaha, NE. I'm not an Army brat, my mom is a recovering Hippie/Yuppie/Hick. Now she's a Mountain Momma just like me! She owns a quilting magazine and I help her with that when I'm not tending to the little ones or hiding in my craft room.
KnitSchmidt ~
I'm a SAHM to 2 gorgeous kiddos, The Chalupa, my 6 year old little boy and Zeemer, my almost 3 year old little girl. They keep me pretty busy, but when they aren't running me ragged...I knit. A lot. Occasionally I sew something out of an odd burst of inspiration or, more often, necessity. Someday I may try my hand at scrapbooking. Probably sooner rather than later if these two have their way!! Learning to crochet is pretty high on my priority list too.
I started knitting when I was little...maybe 8? My grandma taught me how. Then I quit. Fast forward 15 years or so and my mother in law gave me a refresher course, and I was off and running. I decided to pick it back up to make The Chalupa a blankie and that was that. 9 billion yards of yarn later, here I am. My MIL is also responsible for any and all sewing that occurs at my house. She sent me a sewing machine right before Zeemer came along. Rumor has it she's sending a knitting machine my way. Wonder what kind of trouble I can cause with that...

Mommy the Maid ~
I'm a SAHM to two beautiful little girls ages 8 (Miss Turtle) and almost 2 (Little Bear). In the little free time I have I love to scrapbook, quilt, sew, design and make children's clothing, knit, and just about any other craftyness that one can imagine. Well, except crochet, I haven't gone there yet.
I started sewing about 10 years ago and am almost 100% self taught. I have used books and very patient instructors to help me get to where I am now. I sell some of my designs on Ebay, but have taken a break recently due to what I call "a confusion" with my website. It will be up again shortly though. When I started sewing, I made outfits for myself that were very "outside the box" that you couldn't buy anywhere. Kids are cruel, but I felt cool so it didn't matter. From there the world of craftyness opened its doors up to me and I have jumped in head first. Thank goodness the crafty world isn't too shallow.
I've been blogging for a while now and you can visit my daily blog over in the sidebar. I am excited about this blog and the greatness that shall take place within it. These girls are some of my best friends and I love the craftyness that we share. Don't let the mushy talk fool you though. We are some crazy mommas!
